AN HONOR RECEIVED MARCH 3RD, 2000

On International Women's Day, March 8th, 2000, I received this message: I placed you on my list of top notch acadien women that contribute to the preservation and pride of their acadien heritage. Hope the server can handle the traffic next week... Acadiejo

Dear Cousins,

A very warm welcome to our Acadian & French Canadian Ancestral Home! I'm so happy that you are visiting today and hope you will often.

I descend from the Acadian & French-Canadian LeBlanc ancestors. Of course my main line is Acadian on my father's side. We descend from Daniel LeBlanc and Françoise Gaudet and though we also descend from the French-Canadian LeBlanc line of Leonard Leblanc our main French-Canadian lines are from Robert Lévesque and Jeanne (Le)Chevalier on my mother's side. They were from Rivière-Ouelle in Québec. We never know what we will find as we search for our roots. I'd always been told that we had some Indian blood in our roots on my mother's French-Canadian side. I never found one but after years of research, I finally found one on my father's side who was a Mi'kmaq. It has been wonderful growing up in both an Acadian and French-Canadian family. It's a great mix and I grew up with the best of both worlds.

Hopefully, you will visit the rest of my web site. If you do, you will find a great deal of genealogical and historical information that will tell you about where our ancestors came from, who they were and what happened to them. It's an unbelievable odyssey they experienced! Their journey has made it our journey.

Should you find any errors on this web site, please do not hesitate to let me know. If you have information you think might be interesting for visitors to know about, I would be interested in hearing from you. Thank you and enjoy your visit!
